Training Bond. Is this really approved by Phil Gov't Law? Are employees / trainees really liable to such kind of contract?

some say this is not applicable here in the Philippines. If so, then how come some companies are emposing such?
IMO, formality... it's how it is here in the philippines... you know...the constitution? it's basically for formalities' sakes... arun ingnon naa'y balaod...
does estrada's re-election ring a bell? how could an ex-con run for office?
usually, well, in my part, i was never even called to show up for these companies... these are call centers, by the way...
and yeah mostly it's contact/call centers that has this kind of agreement. some friends that i know of receive letters from the company informing them to report back to work and should still they fail to comply then they will be liable to settle the amount imposed for the training bond.
dili lang kai call centers nag impose ani bai. companies nga nag hatag og training nga lisod pangitaon or pwerteng mahala (e.g. SAP for accenture, telecomms), naa pd training bond. accenture kai 2 years or else 100k (unless cla manaktak like what happened last year). sa smart kai 2 and a half years or else 100k sad.
wow. that's good to know.. so my next question would be... were there any employees who got to settle the afformetioned amount? what makes me really curious with this are the legal facts that applies unto this kind of agreement amongst companies.
there will always be a point wherein the employee opts to move to a different company that could offer a better career life and oppurtunity, right? it is a very practical move for each every employee, how much more to those cant seem to find happiness and contentment in the company they are working for.
.. i'm not sure about this though, but a friend of mine who's in the call center industry since it's inception said that the companies made this so called. TRAINING BOND is for their own ( company ) protection against employees who do CALL-CENTER-HOPPING. They train and gets to work, but in just two months, doesnt like the environment and leaves the company. That will hurt the company. The companies these days are just doing what's necessary for them to survive too.
bitaw sah.. now that you bring this topic in the open.. i wonder pud if approve by PHIL Govt bah?? sakot ang point sa compny ., as to y nag implemnt sila.. but thennn.. ang pangutan appprove kaya or legal kaha?? hmm
