Default Is this a Video Card limitation?

I have games hang on me, different games, different results
Sim City 4 = Hang, restart required
COD (all) = Hang, wait 20 seconds required
COD Modern Warfare = NO HANG AT ALL!
Sim City Societies = Hang, 3-5 seconds wait required only
Need for Speed (all) = Hang, 30 seconds wait required

The question is, why? This is consistent pud, whatever OS I use, XP Pro, Vista Ultimate, 7 Ultimate RTM. 32 or 64 bit.

    Rig: C2D 6600, Gigabyte 965P-DS3, 4GB, BFG Tech GF 7900GS OC 256MB

I know the Video Card isn't cutting edge, but its not a slow poke either, and i keep to 1024x768, and this still happens. Will buying a card with a larger memory? I don't want to waste money, I'm just a casual gamer.

    - all legit except simcity 4, and societies, the rest are from orig CD's. ok borrowed, but orig ang cd/dvd

try using the latest WHQL driver for your videocard.
    - yes, latest WHQL, latest version

what kind of hang bro? di na jud mo lihok hasta ang mouse for a period of time?
    - mu freeze ang image. the sound continues man gani, mouse can move. then the music stops for about 3 to 4 seconds, then the game goes on. Except Simcity 4, mu stop, even music, then need reboot.

Games lang bro? how about other softwares like winamp or Video Players ok ra? naa ba kay gi add na bag-ong hardware? or basin imong hardisk nay prob, ang read and write niya nay prob
    - yes, it seems games only. other software ok, even memory intensive PS, CAD. seems to be a 3D-only problem. multimedia, even MKV playback is ok.

unsa imung full specs sa imung PC, from PSU to Keyboard? gpara ma picture out namu
    - E6600, Conroe, B2 Stepping, 2.4GHz and at stock speed. x 6 multiplier, Memory Ratio 1:1, 667MHz. Same behavior at OC speed 3.2GHz. But I run the rig on spec speed on gameplay.
