bro i discourage ta ka ana nga idea although possible na siya kay nakatry ko naa ko gi integrate ato sa xp na installer para mo recognize ug xata but the problem is after nimo ma install ang os wla support para sa sound card.

I think most of Compaq's new models don't work with XP. It's either bluescreen or they just don't work at all... ~_~

its just simple bro, u just need to Slipstream the SATA AHCI Controller Driver into the Windows XP installer para mo install cya. just look in the net coz im kinda lazy to type the procedures.

dual boot with windows 7 nalang...or pwede pud e repartition nimo ang hard drive sulod sa vista then install Windows Xp on that new partition.

@Sasori: You're definitely right!

@TS: At the bios you can setup your HDD controller into ACHI or IDE then you can install XP. Pero some of the new laptops even you can install XP on it but doesnt have soundcard drivers at all and or other hardware drivers. Right now better use windows 7 instead then get the professional version if you're into development. I also encountered that on my first laptop but good thing I replaced it to a laptop that can install xp.
