Default Unsa inyo ISO settings kasagaran?

Ask lang ko mga bro... unsa inyo gamit perme nga ISO setting? Mag auto ba mo or mag manual mo depending sa lighting conditions.

Ako kay... well, Sony Cybershot DSC-W120 akong gear. Point-and-shoot na siya, but kaya niya up to ISO 3200. At first, auto ra ko kay para maka capture ug scenes bisan low light but pag research nako I discovered nga the higher ang ISO, the grainier the pics become. Plus, bisan daghan ambient light, if indoors, ang ako unit kay naay tendency mag ISO400 so grabe ug noise sa high contrast areas.

So, ang ako perme gamit kay within the ISO100-400 range but sometimes mu sulod ko ug 400-800 if kailangan na jud. Especially pod if gusto ko'g film-like feel sa ako pic taasan nako ug ISO para di na ko mag effects sa post-processing. Hehehe.

Kamo mga bro? Share sad mo ug techniques, labi na ang mga bangiitan nga point-and-shoot photographers.

I do landscapes. I always use the minimum ISO in my camera which is ISO 100.

I only use higher ISOs when my shutter speed becomes lower than my focal length to avoid blurry images.
For example, if the lens I'm using is 90mm. I would try to get the shutter speed higher than 90 so about 1/100 or 1/125.

My advice is know first your camera ug asa siya kutob mag grainy na. Para at least kabalo ka
asa raka dapat mag work ug dili ka ganahan naay grains. Bati kaayo mag auto ISO kay most of the times mailad ang camera then ang ISO iyang ipasaka. I'm using D80 but after ISO 800 dili nako mo gamit kay makita na ang grains unless kinahanglan gyud ipasaka ang ISO then dili lang sad nako e under by one stop kay mas klaro ug under pa gyud siya.

@MauiRecla: thanks for the tips bro. ^__^ about my camera, well if high light okay siya mag ISO800, if daghan ambient light. if low-light of course di na matabang. fortunately, naay settings ako camera nga Lowlight scene designed for that environment. Wala pa lang koy naupload na mga pics sa ako nakuha gamit na nga setting.

@phatwell83: if point and shoot bro, most of the times flash jud ang way to go. but bati kaayo kay mawagtang ang background. aws, naa man SL flash setting nuon.

yes bai lisod jd pa hayag sa back ground sa point and shoot...naa ko ixus 80 lisod sad i adjust and the way to go is increase exposure or increase ISO... kay kung SLR ka... slower shutter speed and wider opening raman para mu hayag ang back ground... if kabalo ka mo photoshop try using the shadows and highlights adjustments... maka tabang cya ug hayag sa background...

ISO 100 for shots like landscape, still life, or mga portraits or shots under a controlled environment
like kana gud posing-posing kay naka steady imo subjects

ISO 400 for street or journalism, or some not so fast sports kay unpredictable kaayo sitwasyon di ka kabalo naa UFO tugpa sa imo atubangan or si brad pitt maninda ug tempura sa side walk--shots u dont want in a blur due to unconrolled movement. shots u want people to show nga you witnessed and captured these rare event or happening.

ISO 800 up. kanan anything that requires lesser image quality pero importanti kaayo nga ma capture. dpende ra gyud nimo
