sounds more like damage control to me.

who ever claimed that bloggers are journalists in the first place?

before blogs and forums, there were tabloids. who regulated them?

media in any form is still media. even if the blogger or forumer is NOT a journalist, it's up to the person digesting that person's opinion to figure out if it is true or if it makes sense.

unlike PAID media, everybody is equal in the internet media, journalist or not.

i was just wondering why Chief Chiking wrote this. i hope this was just a crazy coincidence.

OT: I could still vividly remember that we always played and run around in Sun Star when were kids and we always spent or Sinulog there when it was still infront of the old SSS, Central Bank & USCIS and when the "artistas" get mobbed by the crowd, they took shelter in Sun Star's office.

I was just too young to remember if Chiking Seares was already the editor then.
