uPNP = Universal Plug n Play.
In a nutshell, if you're router supports it and you also enable uPnP on Windows XP, then there's no need for you to open up a port manually that uTorrent needs to make a connection properly. uPNP will open up the necessary port(s) on the router for you.
If you're dsl router/modem doesn't support uPNP, then you have to manually specify on you're router NAT rules. This process is also known as opening a 'pinhole'.
More info on uPNP: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Upnp
I actually get the same error on uTorrent myself since I disabled uPNP on my dsl router (I just like more control). However, I opened the necessary port that uTorrent needs on my router so downloading is fine here.
tingale imo change ang original settings sa utorrent try to used the default settings
@wendellmb: Bai, its a hit and miss man with UPnP especially with utorrent sa experience nako since not all old dsl modems or routers fully support UPnP... As mas maayo kay i-manual nimo og open ang port sa router or dsl modem nimo.
open and forward those ports manually. There are countless guides out there (google) regardless of what router you got.
this is the line --------- cross it. i dare you
ok.. salamat..
