Question about Vodafone 802N

OK,...... a friend of mine from japan gave me a Vodafone 802N cellphone,...... i was searching online,.... to see if its a quad-band or tri-band or dual-band,.... i couldn't find anything on it,....

i check'd out the Vodafone site,...... and on the 802N model,..... it said'z *for use in Japan only

i tried inserting my US SIM,..... but theres a USIM error dat comes out,...

kinsa man make ana nga fone? kung ganahan ka nga makagamit outside sa japan, you need to unlock that unit,para modawat na og lami-in nga sim..

the make is "Vodafone" model : 802N,.....

yeah i can tell its locked,..... coz when i tried to insert my US sim,..... it wouldn't accept it,....

i was just wondering if this phone i got is a Dual-Band or a Tri-Band or a Quad-Band

Vodafone are not cellfone maker, its a telecommunication company..

Cellfone makers that I mean is, Sharp, Sony Ericson, Toshiba, NEC etc.. etc..
which according to google is an NEC cellphone..
which is probably very hard to unlock ...

its a 3G fone.. its probably Quad Band.. am not sure..
