that is why there is a commission on appointments. dili lang bara-bara ug appoint ang president. mu-recommend lang siya. kung mu-approve ang commission on appointments... good. kung dili... submit na pud lain name.
pareho ra man na sa US system.
Remember ang Justice till retirement na! wala'y term limit. dili co-terminus sa ning appoint sa iyaha!

I think you have a point. This needs to have constitutional ammendment.
I think the Judicial Bar Council makes the short list of recommendees for the president.
President will take a pick from the short list.
Comm. Appointment approves or disapproves.
Of course there would be backroom negotiations between CA and President. hehehe!
