    Talking I.T. Assistance please!

    Hi, especially to master Beor hehe. Im having a problem in configuring Advanced routing like (Gateway to Router and Router to Gateway)

    Here's the scenario:

    1. Internet ->
    2. Modem ->
    3. Router1(has 5 ports 1 for WAN/Internal and 4 for external) ->
    4. 3 Swithes connected at the number 1 2 3 external ports of Router1 ->
    5. Workstations/Servers
    6. Then my Router2 is also connected at Router1 which I plug to the number 4 external port.

    I have 2 routers

    Wireless router1 - 192.168.1.1 (the one who managed the physical network connection include the internet)
    Wired router2 - 192.168.2.1 (who only manage 2 unit of Backup servers where connected to this router)

    Question:

    Now guys, what could be an operation mode (routing protocol) will be applicable on that particular scenario. I just want to know how the routing works and processes to its route, how it will secure or can be seen even if they have different network range.

    GATEWAY MODE or ROUTER MODE?

    please provide your answer with explanation if you have a diagram to your suggestion much better! hehe salamat daan mga I.T Storyans!

    1 Question:
    Asa man nka connect ang other End sa cable Router2. You said it was connected to Router1_Port4. Asa nga port sa Router2 nka connect? WAN or LAN?

    Since lain subnet man ang imong router 2 i assume nka connect n sa WAN..

    I think it will help. Although its a config for linkSys maybe it could help you.

    Wired router2 - 192.168.2.1 (who only manage 2 unit of Backup servers where connected to this router) <--- mao cguro ni akong gi conneckan, Router2 manage only a backup server, bali sya ga broadcast sa back up server connection nako pero ang Router2 nako naka rely sa Router1 nga port so LAN ra ang giconnectahan ghapon sa Router2, curious lang kaau ko anang "routing protocol", That's why I'm asking for somebody to illustrate or explain to me, Can I apply a routing protocol to the said scenario ive been stating above? what would be the floor plan on it? pls? hehe
