Hi Mayor Jonas,

Greetings.

I would like to raise a complain with regards to the bad and unprofessional customer service of the
staff in Mandaue District hospital. The scenario happened when my father encountered a vehicular
accident(around 9:45 AM, Friday August 21) at Hi-way Mandaue in the intersection of AS fortuna st,
near Chowking. My father was just standing on the side of the gutter and suddenly, He was side swept
by a van. His right head(bleeding near on his right eye) was hit by the side mirror of the Van.

The problem is that there was no blotter report about that incident. They just release the driver's
license. When he was brought to Mandaue District hospital at around early 10 Am, the driver just
settle amicably with my father. His wounds were treated and was given 400 pesos for the medicine, the
medico-legal report was not given to my father. The worst thing is, he did not undergo an X-ray,
because the Doctor(Dr. Antonette Alcantara) said my father was ok. My father was just alone in the
hospital. My mother and I was not there.

My father was just dropped in Mandaue Mercado, because he think he was just okay. When he came home
alone by himself, my mother was so worried what might happen to my him because he was diabetic and has
a High blood. So, I and my mother goes to the scene of the incident and ask who was the traffic
enforcer and the police. And after that we report it to the traffice police office for a blotter.
Also, we goes back to the mandaue district hospital to have an x-ray of his head. At around 11 PM my
father was rushed to Velez hospital because his high blood triggered.

Here is my compalin; My mother got frustrated of the nurses and doctor in Mandaue district hospital.
We were not treated nice, the doctor named Alcantara was so unprofessional, She said my father was
just okay and said it was not necessary for him to have an X-ray. That doctor was so arrogant. Then,
there is this nurse that said "Ang doctor nahibaw sa ilang angay nga buhaton. Ila na gi-iskoylaan for
many years. I hope this doctor will be corrected from his bad approach. Also, those staff and nurses
there.

Dr.Antonette Alcantara decided to discharged my father after the nurses done dressing his wounds. He
was not given observation for twenty-four hours before he will be released. This doctor is so genius! My gosh, Thats why Teri Hatcher(Desperate Housewives TV) said that the Philippines is producing incompetent doctors.

Please help us Mayor to bring justice from the unprofessional and arrogant approach of this doctor and
also, the nurses and staff there. I know I am not just the only one experiencing this unfortunate
events, there are a lot of them who have the same experience like me.

Bro, mao lagi daghan ani nga experience, pero kanus-a pamani sila ma corrected. tarong bana nga doctor moningon nga Ok ra na. Wala ray fracture sa ulo. Pero, la diay niya ma consider what might happen, if ma pasagdan lang ang iyang samad sa ulo.

Nus-a paman ta molihok, doctor should do their job religiously. Thats their profession. Mo serve gyud sila without complain.

Any ideas mga bro, maka-daug ba kaha ko sa kaso if mo file ko ug kiha? Please advise mga bro... Please help mga bro... Need your advise first.

bro mura dapit isaka gyud nah na-complain. na headtrauma na dapat for catscan paman gani nah kay napantog. og wla mo release ug medico-legal? yay mura dako ayo na nga tulobagon.

bro, as a medical professional i have to say this sa...ang medical management ana imong papa mu depende rapud na sa unsa information iyang gihatag didto sa hospital...kung for example as you've said ni settle ra sila then wala sila mu ingon nga na banggaan then unsa ang nature sa pagka bangga of course dili pud na ingon ana dayon2x ra xray.han dayon. Mu depende pud na sa protocol sa hospital kung ingon ana na mga sitwasyon sa private hospital diretso na na admit kay medico-legal man pero sa public diha na na ipa blotter as i've said depende na na sa gi sabot sa imong papa ug sa nakabangga...

As for sa Xray pwede rapud na i.xray sa imong papa pero kung ang doctor wala ka kita ug rason na ipa xray cya based on physical, clinical findings and if dili medico-legal then wala na kinanglan i.xray besides kung nagthink mo ug problem sa utok dili na makit.an diha sa xray...CTscan kinanglan ana bro...

so ask lang ko...unsa man ang gisabot sa imong papa ug sa nakabangga? kay naa raba uban patient mu ingon lang nga wala sila nabanggan kay gi settle naman daan sa nakabangga ok?

Dili ta dayon2x mag.judge ug mga doctor bro kay dili pud lalim na ilang profession, and sa atong setting dinhi sa pilipinas kulangan jud ang manpower sa hospital...so dili lang ta mu judge dayon ana mga ingon ana na butang...yes naa mga doctor arrogante jud pero sa ila nang pagka.tao bisan imo pana ikiha dili na mausab nila pero kung gusto ka ma ilis ang systema diha sa pagmanage sa mandaue district then klaruha sa sa imong papa ug unsa ilang gi sabot and unsa ilang gi ingon sa doctor para maka.reklamo mu ug tarong...

bros ... i have asked a friend to forwarded this complaint to dr oscar quirante who heads the Mandaue district hospital. he has replied that dr quirante has been informed and will conduct and investigation ASAP. will keep the istoryans updated. promise

To the doctor, I ask for an apology for mentioning her name on my post. Istorya has been the tool of expressing my grievances of what happened to that hospital.

Ako erpats bag-o lang na discharge sa velez hospital. For the billing wala ra mi galisud ug bayad kay nitabang raman ang nakaligis.

Di nako gusto ug gubot, I will shut myself and will not make further legal actions. Enough na kaayo, ako erpats okay na. Ako nalang isalig sa ginoo unsa iyang kabobot-on.

based on my experience as an ER nurse. . .depende ra jud na gi-unsa pagsulti sa patient kung unsa

ang nahitabo.. .the doctor will physically assess the patient and will know if it's necessary nga ipa

x-ray or ipa ct scan pa ba.. sa case sa imo papa bro nga natrigger iya high blood maybe thats

another situation and is not related sa incident.... .kana kung dugay na siya high blood. .basig

wala sad naverbalize sa imo papa nga high blood siya or diabetic. .possible sad nga wa nisulti imo

kung unsa jud ang iya gibati after sa incident kay ang tao usahay magpaka-aron ingnon man nga

walay laing gibati unya naa diay to. .
