I think religion is not the key to salvation...
but FAith...
kamo unsa inyo tan-aw?
For Me
Knowledge is the key towards salvation. Faith based on ignorance is like taking a placebo pill.
Faith comes from hearing and hearing the word of God (DIVINE).
1 Cor 10:12
Therefore, whoever thinks he is standing secure should take care not to fall.
Christianity is a Religion of FAITH.
if you are referring to the "Bible SALVATION" there is just one way to do it. BELIEVE and HAVE FAITH. Other than that is not a "Bible Context".
MONEY can be a VERY GOOD SALVATION and its MATERIAL. Hmmm, yeah its really attractive... $$$$ Its a no contest if you are a MATERIAL Person...![]()
im reffering to bible salvation
then what does this mean "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
—Ephesians 2:8-9"
and also
And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.-Matthew 16:16-17
could it mean we could not actually force ourself to have faith but faith is actually a gift directly from God?
isnt grace synonymous with gift from GOd?
Its easy to put it this way:
"Because of your Faith God has given you his grace..."
--- meaning God ask you for your FAITH. if you have faith you have the FRUIT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
love, joy, peace....
--- by faith you will do good works... meaning if mo 2o ka sa ginoo, mo sunod ka sa iyang sugo. But be careful of works... Its not the focus, its FAITH. You cannot boast good works in bible standard. If you say bsta mag binootan lang ka ok na! it may not pass you.
--- be careful of interpretation though... if they add something to the bible its difinitely outside the context... you just cannot add to something that is perfect. This is where people failed to realize.
--- if you want good interpretation of the verse. goto this site.
Online Parallel Bible: Weaving God's Word into the Web check out the commentaries... its nice though!
