Exclamation ~~~ [Question] SmartBro Internet Sharing ~~~

    Good evening my fellow istoryans,

Guys I need some advice how to setup SmartBroken Internet Connection Sharing, What I have is Linksys BEFSR11 Router (1 port LAN) (1 port WAN) and my Switch is from CDRking.

My PC can only surf if SmartBro is pluged to my PC. If I remove the SmartBro, and Plug it to my router's WAN, and my PC is connected to HUB/Switch there's no internet.

The network is working fine I can view her PC, but the internet is not working. I want to share my internet to my sister.

Please can you give me some advice =^_^=

    Thank you!

Router is not a plug n play so you need to configure it.

If you still have the disk that came with your router better run it and follow the steps configuring your router. Or you can search threads here that also have the same concern.

smart bro provides dynamic ip to their regular client, so you should configure your wan interface of router as dynamic or dhcp. router wan interface of linksys router usually referred as internet. then configure your lan, take note that smart bro uses 192.168.x.x network, so be sure that you won't have the same network. after configuring your wan and lan check system status of router, wan and lan should have value.. then try browsing, 1st it would redirect to smart portal, cause smart bro use mac filtering, input user name and password, then it would prompt to restart your router, then after that its good to go...
