will ddr2-800 run as ddr2-667?

my mobo is an Intel d946gzab. it says on the spec sheet that it only accepts ddr2-667 and ddr2-533. i'm looking to upgrade to 4gb RAM. but ddr2-667 is almost obsolete na daw when i called PCX up a couple days ago to ask naa ba sila stock.

i posted in the B&S section that i'm looking for 2x2gb ddr2-667. someone posted there na pwede na mu-run ang ddr2-800 to run as ddr2-667? coz ang ddr2-800 is downward compatible daw. is this really possible? coz mubuy nalang unta kog ddr2-800 kung mao nang storyaa. nihit jud kaayo pangitaon ang ddr2-667. kung naa pud, mahal pud kaayo.

^^i tried asking a couple stores in SM. i also called up PCX and asked sir jungie of AI Logic. no stock puro. sis diay ko, dili bro..

so pwede rasad diay ddr2-1066 and up?

pwede ra pud ddr2-1066 but you are paying premium for the ddr2-667 you desire....

pwede 1066 if your motherboard can support memory modules at such speed. Check your motherboards's website just to be sure
