Default Nikon D1x body for less than 20K.. Is it worth it?

I've been offered a used Nikon D1X in good working condition for less than 20K Php.
My question: Is it a good buy? or is it goodbye (to my hard earned cash)

    TIA for your comments.

The Nikon D1x is a good camera. The resolution of the D1x is still decent (5.3mp), 3fps, rugged body, fast af speed, ug uban pa. But battery system sa D1x/D1H seems not good (according to some reviews). Check lang if you can still get brand new spare batteries for it.

Yes, for less than P20K it is indeed a good buy. Pero with newer models you get higher resolution, wider iso range with good high iso performance, newer features or technologies ug uban pa. Tigum mode lang sa gamay... get a d80, d90 or a d300 instead...

    i got my d80 @ 20k
    better wait and tigum mode

    how much is below 20k ... 15k 10k 5k
if its below 10k then that's a good buy!

Good buy na na bro for a pro body if dili pa kaayo bugbog ang condition. From experience, one thing that really irritates me about the D1 series is the battery. Dali kaayo ma hurot. On an 8 hour wedding shoot you would need at least 3-4 batteries to last the entire event. Dont worry too much about the supposedly low resolution (5MP/10MP RAW mode) unless you want to make really big prints out of your camera.

i agree with tommy, i also have a lil bit old D100 (2-3yrs old) its around 6megs, as long as you dont print bigger than 8x10 thats fine just get the noise ninja to reduce noice for high ISO shots (if you really need high ISO shots), faster performance & tough body & lots of other reasons beats the cheap bodies & some (not all) aspects sa mga newer models, avoid shooting at high ISOs use prime glasses and youre all good, heres a sample taken with my d100 most people ask me if it was taken with my d90 coz of the clarity and sharpness, i got my d90 few weeks from its release when it was around $1,800 (bought extra warranty thats why its a bit expensive) and this d100 is around $350-450 these days for mint d100 its around $500, how i wish i bought two d100 and invested more on quality glasses, gi reduce na nko ni ang res and size kay daghan mo reklamo

its really up to u kung una imong needs as a fotographer..try to haggle with the price, use the batt performance as ur reason for a discount hehe if you get it for 15k i say you go for it! goodluck

for me, new bodies have better features for a little more. save lang sa gamay.

d80 for around P15k? wow, ill be getting one too if somebody offers me that price (with reasonable shutter account)
