which is better with digicams? canon or sony?

i'm confused right now whether to buy the canon ixus 100is or the sony t500.

i want to know from you guys which brand is better when it comes to quality. i had a canon before but naguba na siya after around 3-4 years use help!

the option is very subjective,

first consider the lenses of both brands. some canon or sony products only use their factory lenses and they also have those with special lenses eg. carl zeiss ones. the megapixel countdoesnt necessarily imply that the higher count the nicer the photos it generate. but it does affect in a way.

second, consider its features.

lastly, consider the aesthetics of the camera. typically, sony has a more stylish look to its camera while canon takes more of a bulky shape.
