in my experience, winRAR or 7z for windows, gzip/bzip for linux/unix.. pero gamay ra kaau ilang difference uy.. di na kaau mumatter.. mga 1-3% or even less tingale..

pero in any file compressor, you can also choose the level of compression. I think this will affect the size greatly.. like sa winzip, you can choose the compression level, pero muhinay pud iyang process pag-compress. sulayi lng..

nindot btaw and 7z kay its free and gamay jud ang file. Ang kulang nalang is its support for multi-file. I tot pwede ra 7z ako i-install, but naka-encounter ko ug multifile, i had to install winrar. Naa to another compression software naagi nako nga mu-claim better compression than any other daw, i cant remember the name lang, but grabe sad kadugay ang pagcompress and gamay ra kaayo ang difference sa size. Not worth the wait. And bayad sad...

7z is free, but little bit confusing. Di lang mu support ug multifile compression.
