they're both PDA phones... which do you prefer and why?
Ang xda sosi ug porma... ang treo murag pang bayot, ive seen a guy in vudu hu has a treo and he really looks like a gay...
- Screen size, XDA has a large screen over treo
- Wifi capabilities, XDA2s also has it
what is nice about treo is its smaller than xda.
i beg to disagreexda uses pocket pc, which is windows for handhelds (which i never got the hang of yet). While the treo uses OS 5.0. OS is faster and has less bugs in it. And with the treo, you can use the qwerty keypad if you don't like using the stylus. This saves you the hassle of using two hands to be able to use the unit... If you read everywhere, you'll find out that the treo is more or less king of the Smartphones if you don't really need wifi (i dont. why would i be surfing on the net using the small screen on my smartphone?). You'll see my treo 650 here:

But Treo is a bit slower in terms of processing speed compared to Intel Xscale processor based handhelds which its now running at high as 624Mhz.
True but I don't think you need all that processing power to run handheld sofware..... my treo is actually pretty fast already...![]()
but bro KID, xda has qwerty keyboard already in their xda2s...
graphics wise XDA2s is a bit better than treo.. but in terms of system stability plus the availabilty of programs Treo is a whole lot better than XDA2s..![]()
@C_Cebrecus - Oh yeah I didn't notice bro... Well, let's just say you can't go wrong with either one. I chose the treo and I never regretted my decision. I mean, the way they executed everything in the phone is just perfect for me. It took me just a day to get the hang of it. But, XDAs are kewl too.... You can't go wrong with either of these. That's my 2 cents and that's one side if the story. heheheIf you still haven't decided you can google other sites as well., We're all here to help each other
But in case you get the treo's, get the treo 650, not 600. that's a big difference but they look almost identical...
availability of programs?hmmm....actually,microsoft powered pda's got quite an extensive line-up regarding softwares.and u would notice that 3rd party apps for palm based are readily avail in pocketpc format.stability wise, treo's got the edge.compatibility with windows based desktop's,naturally, microsoft powered pda's.I would acually rate these handhelds equally. So once again it all boils down to user preference.
I must agree with you that they are both very cool fones.. but having dealt with mobile OS for more than a year already and in fact worked as one of its technical support enginners, i can base my opinion from my experiences and i would have to say that palm's operating system is much more stable than pocket pc or windows.. you might think that just because pocket pc is associated with windows that its much more better than palm. i beg to disagree since palm is the pioneer of this business and even though windows (desktop) has a vast availability of programs, you can't say that its the same with its moble OS.. dont get me wrong but i also like pocket pc fones, but me and my colleagues are just not sold on very unstable OS with pocket pc as well as a limited number of programs.. i've known a lot of persons already who are complaining about hang ups and system crashes on their xda 2.. but it really still boils down on the users preference.. whether they want a very cool looking environment or a very stable one..![]()
