Michael Lang, co-creator of the original Woodstock Fest in 1969 is has a plan of another Woodstock
It has been reported that Woodstock 1969 producer Michael Lang has scrapped his plans for a Woodstock 2009 on the dates of the original festival. The hope is still a concert in Prospect Park, but no official plans have been submitted to the New York City Parks Department at this time. Sponsorship for the gargantuan event has been challenging in a slow economy, making the hopes for an August festival look bleak. Lang is instead hoping to "pull something off" in September to celebrate the Woodstock 40th anniversary. Learn more about Woodstock 2009 in NYC.

hehehehehe. theyre not gonna do an actual event..they will just release a DVD containing new footages of woodstock 69. including the part where Pete Townshend kicked some hippie who went to the stage.
my mom's brother got the chance to see woodstock 69. naka pa autograph pa siya sa jefferson airplane. ayos ayo ako uncle nick. may he RIP

i watched the 3 DVD set of Woodstock '69 and how I wish I was at Woodstock...haaaaay.

Thats why there is nothing like the 60s - i love this decade. i know its the most glorious rock history on the planet but woodstock 2009 should be a global effort minus the commercialsim

The 60s was an era of incredible change for music. We went from the innocent Surf/Pop style of the Beach Boys and Ventures to the British Invasion in the early/mid-60s, and then transcended into the Psychedelic awakening period in the late 60s.. Wonderful period for music lovers to experience. I saw Hendrix perform 3 times in the 60s, and Clapton when he was playing in Cream. Originally Posted by pugak_79
