Thread: ECU remapping?

    Default ECU remapping?

    been reading about this online, and it was the suggested solution for a chev optra's gas guzzler-ness. said to improve the consumption of optra from 7km/L to 9km/L. so i was wondering, are there any shops/persons who do this kind of thing? planning to get a 2nd hand 2005 optra and that remapping will really help, a LOT.

    there are a few ways to remap an ecu sir.. in the article youve read how did they remap the ecu? using a piggyback, a stand alone ecu or a sister board?

    using a laptop daw..

    im not much concerned about "how to remap" as i definitely would not try it myself.. just wanna know if there are persons/shops that do these remaps and if Chevrolet Banilad does remapping for their Optras.

    i agree with boss lik. there are a few people who knows how to tweak the map of your ecu's fueling to make it more fuel efficient but that will depend on the method that you will use to do the tweaking but mostly it is done on japanese cars but i heard there is a universal ecu out there.. might work for a chevy...

    Read only ra man ang chip sa Chevrolet Optra, daewoo ug makina. Naka connect na mi using OBD-II, for your eyes only ra gyud tanan. Lisod mangita ug sakyanan nga mosugot lang imong usbon ang ecu settings, wala na gi design aron maka tweak ka para makadaginot ka ug fuel but aron mo kalas nuon ka ug fuel.

    Kung gusto ka makadaginot, get away from fuel injected cars nga naay oxygen sensors sa exhaust, wala nay ayo for fuel efficiency kay walay mohatag nimo nga manufacturer ug fuel efficient nga makina. Cars are primarily made to burn more fuel than what you actually need, they are not primarily made for transportation ug they are not primarily made aron fuel efficient. Wala na mabutang sa ilang business plan nga hatagan ka ug fuel efficient nga car.

    Bisan pwede pa ka maka reconfigure sa ecu settings, walay pulos if you don't change the injectors with injectors nga mo fog ug fuel. Ang current fuel injectors murag gripo, dagko ug lungag.
