Poison was, is, and will be one of my greatest influences in rock music. how about you?

i love Bret Michaels' new country CD Rock My World featuring the single All I Ever Needed with Jessica Andrews. His album Freedom of Sound explores the Nashville Country Music sound and for a while he did served as one of the judge of Nashville Star, country music's equivalent to American Idol...

He still tours with Poison every now and then while also touring as a solo country artist...

i'm quite happy that there are more & more threads that talk about 80s rock bands...& this is the latest installment...hehe...kudos man!...

if i were to say, poison was the color bearer of the glam rock revolution that erupted around the mid to late 80s & early 90s...radical emissaries of a brave new spin-off rock genre whose audience were usually 90% women, they were among the 1st ones who ushered in a sexual reinventing of rock, when panties, pantyhoses, bras, & just about any female undergarment were seen flying around during their concerts...

i can still remember waiting all day for their 'talk dirty to me' & 'nothin' but a good time' music videos to come on the tube...bursting with youthful energy & charisma with their tossed-up hair, made-up faces, spandex, leather & lace...these guys were real scene stealers...

yet despite the not-so-desirable reviews about them, poison held their own musical merit...

i have their 1st 3 albums on cassettes : look what the cat dragged in, open up & say...ahh!, & flesh & blood...& i love all the songs in these...coz as they say...it's nothin' but a good time!!!...

hopefully we can see gigs in cebu that plays and dress like the 80's glam......poison, warrant, enuff z'nuff, ratt, bang tango, jackyl, tyketto, pretty boy floyd, southgang, tigertailz...........
lingaw unta kaayo itanaw kung naa pa bands mo play ani. sad to say, we're one of the few bands (if there are others) playing these stuff, as far as i know. hahahaha.

richie kotzen and Poison parted ways when richie kabit-kabit rikki's fiancee, deana eve. rikki said in an interview about the break-up, "deana was the girl i was about to marry, thank God i did not". got no news about richie and deana together now. i just leave it to boy and kris......now na!!!!!!
