Can't run Application while OCed

i OCed my Core 2 Duo E6550 from 2.33GHz to 2.45GHz

since i OCed it, i cant play Counter-Strike 1.3 or even Half-Life (OS: Vista Home Premium 32bit)

after i double-click the shortcut, nothing happens and i can even see the hl.exe process in task manager...



does this have to do with overclocking?? help pls..

i don't think it has but if you put it back to default and it runs fine, then it may have something to do with it. try running the program as administrator in your current clock. this is a very minor overclock to affect your application but who knows.

the real question here is, is your overclock stable?

yes, i tried to run super pi, and even left the pc turned on for almost a day

i tried running in administrator but still the same, nothing happens..

SuperPI barely stresses the processor. There's Prime95 and OCCT to test the system with. Run a small FFTs torture test with Prime95 and make sure to enable round-off checking.

we the same proc bro. how bout pumping ur OC to 2.80GHz para ma 1:1 cya sa ddr2 800 na ram? im sure ul get +6 points on ur WEI.

nah, 2.45GHz ra jud ang max nako nga overclock kay dli na ma-detect ang HDDs kung masubra-an..
(bati man gud ang mobo, unya stock ra ang HSF, 70 ° C ang idle temp, init kaayo!)

unya DDR2 533 pa jud akong RAM, maka-lagot
