The prompt should start off at C:\Windows. Type cd system32. The prompt should now read C:\Windows\system32

Reboot

WINDOWS XP will no got to desktop from WELCOME screen.

how does fixing the MBR resolve this problem? MBR - master boot record. unless the TS gets an unmountable boot volume error, this is nowhere near applicable. the first step here probably is to disable automatic restart:

try to boot to safe mode or a last known-good configuration is a good move sad.

i-repair lang imong windows ana bro, gamiti sa CD sa Windows...
possible nga na-corrupt na imong operating system..

use winxp installer,then sa recovery console type chkdsk /f/r..or try to repair ur OS..if u have Hirens Boot CD u can use it to check if ur HardDisk has been overtemp or if it contains numerous bad sector..
