How to Setup PC to answer/call through Landline

Masters, i don't know if this is possible without using any extra hardware but i'll ask anyway. Who among you here knows how to setup/configure my PC so that i will be able to make/answer calls from my landline phone through my PC? In short, i want to make my PC as my handset (NDD/IDD).
*Kapoy man gud dagan sa sala just to pick up the phone while i'm too busy playing.

then naa ni call, pop up dayon ug alert nga incoming call.
maybe ma minimize ang window sa game, and your game character might end up dead.
still annoying right.

y just won't put an extension of phone to your room

very well said moz K2, labi na if you are playing an online game like SF, the incoming call might over ride your online game therefore seizes the program so that you can answer the incoming call.

1. get skype - im not sure if it can answer phone, but it can call.

yeah, noh. you're right. thanks for the idea re: gaming. hmm...why i missed that thought.
Anyway, i seldom play that's why i used the "cheesy" emoticon on my first post. I'm just wondering and curious on how will i be able to answer and make landline calls using my pc if that is possible (not voip). I remember there was this feature on previous versions of Windows, the phone dialer thing?

yep, i have it googled, bro. unfortunately, i didn't find what i was looking for. I guess i now have the idea of the keyword(s) to use. But it is still very much of a big difference if you can interact with people like here where we can freely talk bisaya.

you can call using it but you can't answer a call

get an answering machine. no need to answer the phone, they can just leave a message.
or make ur PC an answering machine, all you need is a modem with communications software.
