Default ants in hdd = destroyed hdd

this morning when i booted my pc the computer suddenly cudnt read my other hdd. i just continued surfing the net until nihang ang pc so i rebooted it. then di na mabasa ang duha na nako ka hdd. ako giabli ang cpu, took out the hdd then lo and behold daghan kaayog almigas. seems like something inside kay makaatract nila. mupundok sila sa kanang conductor right between the PCB and the disk itself so mashort jud. i think head or platter tawag ana, and ila sad kaunon ang conducting material mao murag nacorroded ang conductor. after nako naclean from ants ang hdd dayon pagon nako usab sa pc, nagtingog na ang hdd. klaro na kaayo nga physical ang damage sa duha ka hdd. im using laptop to write this down. i just want to warn you guys. after sad nako ni gigoogle nga problem, turns out it is a common problem.

pls up this once in a while para makaybaw tanan, im really sad today. di jud mabasa ang akong hdd. di mabasa sa bios, sa winternals, sa windows xp ug vista installation disk, sa ubuntu, sa tanan. makabuang jud, i hope di ni mahappen sa inyo.

if di mo mutuo dara isa sa mga threads about this:

true gyud bro. also happened to my hard drives. although they singled out 5 units of my seagate 7200.7 80GB ultra ATA IDE. they did not touch the samsungs and the western digitals.

he he, they must know which is the good quality and tested brand. they are the small red ants.

in my case, all 5 units were cleaned by compressed air and a brush. working pa (whew!!!)

besides the hard drives, these ants also attack ATX power supply units.

frequent attacks on the keyboard (cuz of kids eating while playing).
