miss, Im sorry but I think the V3m (from verizon) will not and will never work here in the Philippines. Remember that Verizon is a CDMA carrier in the US, not GSM. Smart, Globe, Talk n Txt, TM and Red Mobile and Sun are all GSM networks. And.....the V3m has no SIM card slot, so there's no way it will work here unless you are a Verizon subscriber which you are roaming in the local networks.

Additional Info: Even if the unit will be opened line, its cellular radio still can't work with GSM.

yup thats so true verizon phones in US do not have a sim slot it serves as an analog on laymans term

yup, verizon and also "sprint now together with nextel" uses CDMA technology.

CDMA is not Analog. Both GSM and CDMA are digital networks. They just differ in how they send/receive signal on to the cellular network. Even CDMA has an equivalent 3G band called EVDO.

yup, true. CDMA is not anolog, they are even working on a 4G network now. before I think EVDO REV- A lang to siya. ang handset lang sa mga CDMA phones kay walay sim card slot. your phone number is programmed sa phone.

have already talk to some of the cellphone technicians and they can actually replace the motherboard for this one, para naai para butanganan ug sim card dre sa pilipinas, that's what i'm trying to do ryt now...

I think the technicians can replace it with a "V3" motherboard. But I still doubt it since the V3 and V3m has a slight difference on the back casing layout. It may have a different flex orientation too.
