I've often read the news about Information Technology sector expansion expected for the years to come pero wala man kaayo ka makakita nga job postings. Asa man ta ka apply ug entry level programmer?

EXPAND YOUR CONTACTS. Do not rely on newspapers and announcements. How can you survive if you just wait like that?
I know, I was in that place before long time ago, just looking for entry level job. Don't waste too much time waiting. Research more! Believe me, there are many high-paying jobs available unannounced.
Some companies secretly allocating high-paying jobs. In some cases, to prevent competition and they are seeking reliable person to have that job.

Ask your friends, relatives or classmates look for clues where to find a good job........ God knows you might talk to your future manager in disguise.

In simple thinking, if you just apply on the jobs on newspapers, you will encounter competitions. Imagine tens to hundreds and you are just only one(1). The probability for you to get a job is low.

I believe some developers here have jobs not from newspapers. hehehehe

yep that is right all the jobs i got was from some sort of referrals contacts are very important and most of all skills

I like this advice, the job I got is not from newspaper or ad. Somebody just notice my obsession with application development in Linux using Java.

Unfortunately, I don't know Linux. Most of my projects are windows related. Most people use windows and that's the issue. I like Windows but I don't like Microsoft because they are so strict.
