is e-10 good for gasoline engine?
I want to know ra...kay I really want to fuel it up
Caltex E10 kanang naa sa may Foodland is "10% Ethanol" and the rest is gasoline with Techron. Ingon ang taga Caltex foodland, di daw sila mo tubil ana nga fuel on engines using carburetor, para lang daw na sa mga fuel injected engines.
Ethanol (C2H6O) is still a hydrocarbon with Oxygen in it. Makatabang ang oxygen for improved combustion since nasagol na ug maayo ang Oxygen, gamay nalang kulang nga oxygen imong kinahanglanon for the rest of the gasoline nga mainly hydrocarbon lang.
Wala gyud ko kasulay anang Caltex E10 pero kasulay na ko ug sagol ug 450cc danatured alcohol (Ethanol with Methanol) to 30 liters Caltex Silver and yes naay improvement sa combustion ug sa performance. However, 1.53% ra to nga ratio sa denatured alcohol to gasoline ang akong gihimo.
Sa manila, daghan na nag baligya ug E10 from Caltex, Petron and Shell and I've heard from forums nga makatubil ra ang cars with carburetor. Strict lang siguro kaayo dire ang Caltex since first time pa man ug aron malikayan ang problema. Kung carburetor pa gamit nimo sa fuel delivery ug di ka hatagan ug E10, make your own blend nalang and do it at your own risk.![]()
Another good source of Oxygen is acetone ug kanang denatured alcohol. However, the least expensive or free if magkugi ka and cleanest source of oxygen is water.Pagsalud lang ug ulan. hehe
naa diay ni diha sa Caltex-mango? suway nya ko ani sunod kung tinuod ba mas efficient
unsa imu sakyanan? better ask sa imu dealer kay SOME dealer mu void sa engine warranty if maunsa ang engine will filling up with e10 or any biofuel/bio ethanol.
there are comments that says E10 affects rubber tubing of the fuel lines and there are those who say that there is no bad effect in fuel lines. In manila, I already have a lot of co-members using E10 and says that their idling improved...which is supposed to be the main purpose of E10....that is better combustion.....if you do regular maintenance and check-up of your rides(including fuel lines), I think that there is no problem to use E10. IMHO, I never rely or believe on the opinions of gasoline pump attendants(I don't mean to sound discriminatory) since, more often than not, what they know are also just handed down info....they don't really have a way to verify if its true or not....
almost all petron have E10 on thier Xtra unleaded, asa ta ka tubil nga walay E10? carburated man gud ako motor
