it is an old "habit" or practice, where in people of the old days (filipinos who are so devout) call upon the Holy Family, in a process of asking help when they are in trouble, distress or any situation that they feel the need of God. so they call upon the Holy Family, it started not as an expression, but rather a zealous act of trust to God by addressing the Holy Family for help.
Jesus (Hesus) Mary (Mariya) Joseph (Hose)
and it got incorporated into the culture (you know na pinoy..) and eventually the next generation only heard the calls and did not know the value so they kinda use it in everything they encounter including the likes of you (TS) a young tike. and it got blended.
