What If Religion Isnt Allowed To Be Taught Unless You're Above 18?

What if you haven't heard of the Bible...
What if u haven't heard of Christianity or some other religion...
None of your parents taught you of Religion...
None of your friends have heard about Religion...

Then one day, you walk into a an old used bookstore and picked up this thing called "The Bible"... You start to read it... Now, remember supposedly this is the first time you've read it... with stories of Creation, Noah's Ark and the flood, and Jesus walking on water...

Question:

Can you really, really, really say?
"WOW! I found the book that will guide me to all my life!"

OR

Would you throw it in the waste basket like the other novels you find in an old used bookstore?

Now the real question:
Would you still believe the things that religion has made you believe if you were being taught when your already above 18 or age of maturity?

18 is merely a convention. but why not? great minds were converted to believe even at very old age.

thats y some of us here have switch or change religion at that age because this is not inborn and you are free to choose which ever to believe.

i think i would treat the bible like i would with the da vinci code. believe it for a time then outgrow it.

the thing is you never mentioned about a priest or anything that can serve as a preacher; you just said a bible on the library, how convenient. < lulz this is not the argument, im just making a point

yes many people thought of that, what if i was not raised this way, what if i was raised by the other wises available during the time when i was 18. the possibilities are in millions, you can be an atheist(we will just use this word cause it is mostly known) or you can seek out a religion or you can be and atheist or you can seek out a religion.... 1 million!
if ever it was not taught because the parents themselves did not care or can't or will not or time and circumstance did not permit, you will always end up on either of this two sides; having or not having anything.
well you can have science to explain everything including as to how planet X is still a 10th planet and a new 11th planet is coming. it's hard copy as a bond paper.
man will always seek for a God, and however he names "it", it will still be God. it will not matter if we know or not or did not believe or was not given a chance to know (and believe if permitted) the bible will always be true. and God will always exist.

I think that's a very interesting question. What if I've never heard of the Bible or religion of any kind before I was 18? I guess that would mean that before I was 18 all I've been taught was the alternative worldview that all that exists or all that is real is nature. Maybe I will be surprised by my discovery about this book with all these fantastic stories. Maybe I will at first regard the Bible as a very curious collection of books or stories. But later on I guess I would be fascinated by the stories, and I guess I'll also be fascinated by the characters, and maybe later on I will get more and more curious and I will try to study these books and find out more about them, who wrote them and why, and if the things that they related really did happen and what that would mean, etc. I think it will open up for me the probability of the supernatural realm, and I think I will find that fascinating and liberating.
