Default To MOD or not to MOD?

I was just thinking gikan ko nagpamod sa akong casing this year pero not so satisfied sa mga work jud sa atong mga modders honestly, pero ok raman pud then one time kita kog mga casings nga modded na like NZXT makasuya man mao nga di na need for me to do that for additional expenses napud. Kamo whats your opinion share lang mo mo prefer bamo ug pa modify sa inyo casing or not get a modified one already.

    Share ur opinion lang...TY

Find a laser cutting / water jet cutting service if you need something modded that requires 100% precision, hand tools are not even remotely close to accurate. I too experienced a similar thing that you did and its actually costing me lots of money if the job is not done right.

    EDIT:
Pre-Modded casings are hard to find, having a window as part original design does not count as a mod though.

@EarlZ: sakto jud ka bro pero ni tagam na jud ko since last pa mod nako usik lang ug time and money better buy an expensive modified already casing kaysa magpa mod paka. There will be no more next time tagam na jud ko and besides layo rata sa mga modders sa manila like PCMODZ professional kaayo sila ug work bro.

I agree, I have yet to see anyone in cebu that does a professional level of modding. Puro paman gud hobby2x / testing2x diri sa atoa. Sa manila like nilang Tantric professional level na jud maski hand tools rai gamit also the prices in manila is a lot cheaper. Tagam nsad ko bai next time magpa mod ko laser cutting nako diritso bahal 2k+ ang gasto.

Since we are on this topic, naa koy kaila nga gusto unga mo invest ug laser cutting for metals the ones that carry around 5,000 watts of power. gusto ta niya ang ROI kay less than 1year ra haha morag lisod.

Yeah i guess if your modding cheap / junk cases ok ra ang services diri sa cebu ( there are several modders in cebu offering cutting/modding) ,but if you expect impressive results for what you payed for none of the current services that i tried here in cebu can do the job right unless you resort to machine cutting.

EDIT: This is in relation based only on the experience I have tried, Im currently trying another modding services so his skills are not yet counted on this comment. So please stop telling me where to have my case modded.

Sad kaayo ni akong story in regards to modding services, i was "suckered in" 3 times jud.

I had a very expensive case ( during its time ) modded by a moderately commercial modder who ensured me that his work is very professional despite the hand tools, the asking price was extremely steep for such a simple modification, end result was not even worth 1/4 for what i payed for and i got free scratches on the "work piece"

EDIT: [ Window Mod, Connection Mod , Blow Holes ] Type of Casing : Full Tower ( my first highend casing )

Still putting faith on the modding services of others i went to another widely commercial modding service with a moderately expensive case and had a bigger modding scope this time but nothing complex asking price was not as steep as the first one but the result was not any better.

EDIT : [ Window Mod Only ] Type of Casing : Mid Tower ( 2nd highend casing )

So for the 3rd time I told my self that i wont have any cutting mods on my case, but i saw this small modding services that does simple things and i saw that they had the exact tools for what i need and i said to my self how can it possibly go wrong with just 1 cut nothing fancy all the needed to use was the saw template they had.. and their prices were really that cheap so i gave it a go ahead, sad to say that even the most simple mod will have huge mistakes.

EDIT: [ Blow hole Mod Only ] Type of Casing : Mid Tower ( my 3rd casing but only mid range )

After those 3 experiences i will never resort any service that uses hand tools for modding unless personally see several of his works or a high resolution / macro shot of his works.

EDIT: Despite saying never, i still did try another service.

The story i presented above has its obvious details removed, for those who think that they know w/c services i tried please keep them to your self, i will not bad mouth these services but i will never recommend them to anyone and avoid them like the plague.

I tried to contact modding services once to do a specific service but I just cant agree on the price. So what the heck, I did it myself and it was fun, and the good results is just an added bonus. Modding is meant to be a fun and enjoyable experience at the least cost possible with whatever tools you have, sort of a hobby.

For commercial purposes though, machine tools is a must to achieve the desired results. But I dont do commercial services because the things that I do when I mod is priceless! j/k

well for me modding should be taken seriously especially if you are doing it on commercial level, cause the glory of modding is after the job is done and when you see your casing, you feel in love with it even more.

@yugi thanks sa "exposure" nagplano-plano ra ba unta ko nga nig kumpra na nako anhi ra ko mangita ug modders.. now im planning to see other options no offense hap

Saon ok ra bro oi..the reason why I posted this thread kay gusto ko mga ma educate ta sa modding thing lol. Bitaw bro tagam nako if you have plan magpa mod klaroha usa iyang work kamao ba sya dili ingon nga wala may lain nga blah blah mao nalang ako gi gamit kay wa koy choice, di mangud na ing ana it should be done in professional way mo ask kag permission sa owner if mo sugot ba sya ing anion etc...para way mahayay unlike anang mag buot2x sa ila gusto unya di ta ganahan ako nagpamod ko di lang ko mo mention unsa iya name pero I dont recommend him anymore since he does very unprofessional way of doing his service. Mahal pa iya pangayo and obviously nangwarta lang di jud quality iya service. Ok balikan nato nagpamod ko sa sidepanel to get acrylic side plus the hole in the inner bottom ok ra ang inner botton pero ang sidepanel sus grabe ka bati ug work may nalang gani ako gi hangyo ug backjob w/o any pay ni sugot cya ako kalagotan mag buot2x then na among pa jud akong casing kay di man masakar kay dagka man nga screw iya gi gamit unsaon man so panitan jud ang side sa casing para ma sulod paeta lage....I paid him enough pero usikan lang niya ang akong money. I called my uncle na lawyer he said pwede daw kasuhan ang nag work ani maski way receipt pero I said ayaw nalang para way gubot ok raman pud experience nalang ba mao di nako mo usab pa.

Kani nuun murag 2-3 months na nakalabay pero I think this should be deserve a warning to all people here nga magpamod. Ako panagsa rako mo belib ug tao pero he has failed me jud.

Anyway mao nay akong bad experience sa modding....ang nag mod nag buot2x sa gusto sa customer mao careful mo kinsa inyo pilion pa mod. Btw, no offense sa mga maayo na modders ha ako lang when you do a job para worth it do it good ayaw binuangi inyo work di baya lalim pangita ug money.
