there was a rumored second reunion but then it was cut off when Plant decided he'll further his work with Alison Krauss (and harvest all the grammy) and T.Bone Burnett.

then bassist.keys John Paul Jones is currently enjoying fame again as a successful producer of alt.country music, particularly as the producer of the current Sara Watkins CD which get a lot of momentum lately...

I wonder whats up with these guys. All of a sudden they're going country?

its just praCTical since they're all moving towards that direction anyway... one of the reason Robert Plant didn't participate in another reunion is because he wanna explore more country and folk blues stuff... and since John Paul is so much into country and folk then why not?

John Paul Jones did play bass with the band Mutual Admiration Society way back 2005, It was an alt.country band composed of the members of Nickel Creek + Glen Phillips (of Toad the Wet Sprocket)+ later John Paul Jones
