    Question question about microsoft update.

it's been weeks now. i always see this everytime i turn off my laptop.

it updates then on the next day when i turn off my laptop again, it still shows the same thing. i wonder why.

also, everytime i use my lappy, there's a pop up telling me to update.

i clicked it, it updated. i closed the box. THEN on the next day it does the same thing.

(i'm already using XP SP3 so i'm wondering why it keeps telling me to update to SP2 or something)

    reinstall Windows Update.

    Download http://www.google.com.ph/url?sa=t&so...Mc8nk9WH2Wq5CA

Save on your desktop, open the program through command prompt with /wuforce parameter.

    its a program, Windows Update.

reinstalling this would mean youwould have to reinstall all the other updates you have made so it might take time.

    **edit**

you can also check windows update's logs to see what causes this issue. sorry, too lazy to add more.

Updates are not installed successfully from Windows Update, from Microsoft Update, or by using Automatic Updates after you perform a new Windows XP installation or you repair a Windows XP installation
