DOg afraid of leash

My 10 month old lab gets scared when i put it on a leash. he just cowers, puts his tail between his legs and doesn't walk.

what should i do?

Is it his first time to experience being on a leash? if it is, try to slowly get him used to it. Let him free to play around your garden or garage on a leash, let him walk around and play with a leash on him. it's ok that he drags it around your house so next time you put a leash on him he would just think it's play time.

associate the leash with a pleasant experience. ang akong buhaton kay before nako cya lawgan kay itaud nako ang leash niya bahalag wala ko gakupot sa leash, then immediately hatag nako ang food. So the dog begins to associate the sight of a leash, that there's a food coming.

All of my dogs go crazy every time they see me carrying a leash. Actually, ive trained them to get the leash themselves. heheheheh

bai, pa anara sa ang puppy sa leash ayaw sa e-taod. either imo ba ipa simhot² niya or imo ipakita while nag belly rub ka. sakto si siren bane, associate the leash with a pleasant experience like a food, a belly rub or a toy.
