Ask lng ko if ang upcoming windws 7 would be compatible with the "not so old, not so very new" hardwrs? Does windows 7 require major system overhaul lyk vista?

It would depend if your hardware has drivers for windows 7, as for system requirements it does not require more than what vista asks for now, but im sure it will not run that smoothly in machines built during pre windows XP era.
If your hardware is supported in Vista, it will work in Windows 7. The driver models have not changed. Windows 7 requires less resources than Vista. It is the first Microsoft OS ever to not require more hardware than a previous OS.
And it even takes lesser space on the hard drive.
Until the WinXS folder starts to grow after a few months of use.
7 is indeed way lighter than vista, im on 7 beta anyway.
true. its faster and lighter than vista but sadly ul get random program crashes and some fail software installations.
ako migo kay naa windows 7 ultimate. pro wa pa nko g suwayan ui. hehehe
i was using windows 7 beta on my three system.. one of it has only 1ghz (an Athlon XP 2000 got busted and now only capable of running @ 1ghz clock) socket 462 procie, 512mb of ram, inno 3D 6600GT 128mb/128bit Vcard and 20GB maxtor IDE HDD with windows 7 build 7000 32 bit installed.. the other two has a build 7057 64bit on it. it's lighter than vista and have better GUI and more user friendly than xp.. unfortunately the 64bit version have too many bugs on it like for example the desktop .ini bug and the inverted media player. the worst part of it i can't manage to install GTA IV & Turok on it. my installed mirrors edge also doesn't have any audio on the cinematics while it was working fine on vista... but i think this OS is good but due to it's early stage it's very obvious to see so much bug and incompatible application on it.
