as of March 20,2009 Avira's update is detecting NoobKiller version 3.7.231 as trojan..

ive been using avira for months now and for me, its far better than any other free antivirus kay maka detect gyud cya og virus sa mga flash drives plus i dont trust that noobkiller antivirus coz i could be a trojan

@nirdle pogi, daghan kay ko ug anti-virus diri sir so far avira is the most strict when it comes to detection and blocking programs, pero mao pud lage.. hasta ang noobkiller, wierd, pero kani ra pud nga update.

@erwin rommel, yep avira is great but you better do more digging sir.noobkiller is not a trojan.

when i scanned my two drives with avg, 3 detections. confirmed trojan and worms.(suppose to be 4 but the 4th program was Nuconnector which is always detected as trojan.)
scanned by kaspersky 3 detections.
norton(game edition) no detection.
avira 5 detections (suppose to be six but the 6th program was Nuconnector which is always detected as trojan.)

after the antivirus tests scanned with noobkiller, and do rescan on avg,norton,kaspesky and avira.. totaly clean.

if anha naka og company nga strict og security bro, dili gyud ka angay mo salig anang noobkiller kay aside nga dili na from a reliable source, pwedi na himoon nga pang intrude sa maker ana.

try ko avira, ako files infected with sality/nar virus. since dili man ma-heal sa avira, ang gibuhat gidelete ang mga infected files so nawala to tanan. then naa na sad ko laing set na files infected gihapon sa sality/nar virus, ako giscan sa nod32, gi-clean sa nod32 ang mga files wala niya gi-delete so nauli-an ra ang akong mga files..

@nirdle forgot about nod32.. tsk tsk.. i will try nod and see if it detects noobkiller and my Nuconnector

even daghan ang ni gamit ana bro it doesnt mean nga dili na security threat. mao nang gi detect na as trojan kay naa nay feature nga trojan like. ok ra na if pang balay lang were security is not that serious. pero if dako na nga company were naay mga confidential files og sensitive data, murag ni layat sa eroplano ang taga IT ana nga gadala og parachute nga buslot if mu gamit ana nga software.

sir i never said im using it on a company level protection
i think naa na daan sa atong mind nga if we are talking about companies' files, dili jud ta mogamit protection nga dili known to have a company lvl protection and especialy if they dont offer support.

but still never had any experience regarding that security case of noobkiller, so far so good on my personal rig.
