is the performance of this wd caviar black really noticeable?

karon pa lang ko naka hibalo nga kaning mga western digital caviar is divided into 3 groups.
green (for power saving)
blue (mainstream, everyday reliability)
black (enthusiast, performance)

unfortunately, i have a green one... tsk tsk... and to think, my rig was for gaming, bad trip.
it has good specs raman unta:
500gig sata 2
7200 rpm
16mb cache

while the black one, i think has
750gig or 1terabyte sata 2
7200 rpm
32 mb cache
some technologies borrowed from its velociraptor cousin
dual processor (dont know how this works)

my question is, grabe ba kadako ang diperensya in real world performance sa duha?
i mean, the green one which i have satisfies my expectations in speed... and if dako ang diperensya ug performance sa green ug black, i would definitely upgrade to a black.

It doesnt really matter bro sa ako na sabtan even green cya still perform great together sa uban nga models. Green means energy efficient and less heat so for me I better choose green instead.

Its not really that noticeable but there is a speed gap between them, and its worth the cost IMO.

daan pajudko, i realized that although my hardisk is fast enough for my needs, it was not built for speed.
It was built for power saving, and when you save power, you sacrifice a little bit of the speed.

the black one consumes a little bit more power, pero if you are after performance, mabutang nga bahala na ang power consumption ug mu increase gamay.

when i go from 500g to 1000g, ill definitely get this black one.

wish ko lang velociraptor, mahal lang jud kaayo nga mugawas nga dili na bang for the buck.

I have two, and frankly, no but it does help me sleep better at night hehehe.

Velociraptor= Saba. mauna ang problema, I dont have them but nakoy migo who does and iyang problem sad saba. If you want to go fast gyud nga hilum like for your OS lang and installed Games, go for SSD.

Sorry my mistake, the time i got 2 of these for a friend only the 300GB sata connects were available didnt even bother checking that the backplane already includes the 150GB models.

wish ko lang velociraptor, mahal lang jud kaayo nga mugawas nga dili na bang for the buck.

The theoretical numbers are good, but dont get too sucked in its not really that fast for the average desktop user.
