They might be rich in things but they're poor emotionally. Back when we we're kids in the 70's and the 80's our parents allow us to play with other kids in the neighborhood. We get into fights of course but, that was part of growing up. Each day that we played with other kids we learned how to handle ourselves and deal with the pressure associated with making friends. Because we go out and associate with people we have learnt how to handle the emotions that can go up and down as we explore our world. Then, most of us grew up emotionally stable and mentally strong.
But now, parents leave their children infront of the TV and violent computer games all day thinking this would be good for their children. You cannot teach you children how handle their anxieties by just letting them sit infront of the tube. After all the advances we achieve, the old ways of raising a child is still the best. But that's all we can say now, 'twas the old ways. Where have all the parents gone?
