Hey, all. Question? What do you use to treat your adult acne? Thanks!
2007 was my (adult) acne year. As a teenager, I didn't have any problems breaking out. Didn't have pimples until two years ago ( now I'm 27). I was upset looking at my face with zits all over. I desperately tried almost everything (from chemicals to home remedies) just to get rid of it ( except from pricking, boy, that hurts!). So a friend of mine, told me to use these anti androgen pills. Was kind of hesitant thinking it has bad side effects when taken orally. But I took it anyway. After a week of taking it, I noticed visible changes. I took the pills for 2 months only. I couldn't stand how it affected my mood. I guess it was one of the side effects that my friend told me bout. But then two months of using it was enough. It cleared my zits and boy was I happy!
I don't think men are advised to take this drug since it's also an oral contraceptive. Anyway, the pill's name is Diane 35. I recommend that you should consult your doctor before taking it. Just remember that what works for me may not work for you.
Hi, Miles. I used some medications too before but so far, what works for me is Cleocin-T Gel. It's like an ointment you put on the affected areas for like twice a day. Been on it for weeks now and the redness plus the scars are surprisingly disapearing. Go ask about it from your dermatologist and I believe it's available anywhere even on any online pharmacy on the web. Hope this helps!
Benzoyl peroxide (generic name). My brother's dermatologist gave the prescription to him. I think some over the counter products has this ingredient now, like Panoxyl.
For me, just a good night sleep will do. hehe.
But its a case to case basis man gud kay people have different types of skin, so different sad reactions to medicine.
