Ram issue 1 error

ok so i run memtest and after 40minutes i get 1 error



is this 1 error enough for the computer to freeze all of a sudden and video disappear?? i have to reset my computer to get it working again

seriously it happens when im doing alot of things like firefox and music and video running and reading pdf or something, even sometimes just running firefox it hangs,

i dont think its a video issue because the video card works fine, just played HAWX demo on max settings. 1680x1050 reso too.
but playing games is alright, i can play for an hour or two and no error. ive got objectdock running and stuff.

if the one error is is this 1 error enough for the computer to freeze all of a sudden and video disappear, how do i know which ram stick is the problem, this happens randomly, as i can play for hours on end but then when browsing it hangs =/

try running memtest86 on each sticks bro, ayaw na nga memtest gamita. Kadtong memtest86 and run it for 2-3 passes, mga almost 3 hours cguro na tanan ang 2-3 full passes.

you can download memtest86 here. Memtest86.com - Memory Diagnostic it's a shareware so wai blema, i burn lang cd or pde sad usb gamiton. Ako raman g burn ako sa cd then boot it up then mo automatic na xa. Remember 1 stick at a time then come back here if naa gihapon errors kai para makatabang sad ang uban.


Add lang: para d ka mahibung ngano patest tika ana, sa una man gud ng test ko gamit ana naa errors daghan pajud pero stable raman ako unit mao to ni try ko sa memtest86 para lang ma sure ko. But if d nimo feel mg huwat pila ka hours sa test, huwat nlng sa uban mo recommend..hehehehe!

don't run memtest under Windows...u get strange results...better boot to dos & run it from there...

Ok raman sa windows mode i run ang memtest pero better sa dos mode jud bro mga 2-5 passes jud para sure ba. If naa ka nakita error then ni exist sa windows when using application or playing games meaning naa jud prob imong RAM. It h as nothing to do with the videocard k.

but when im playing games no problem, doesnt hang up or anything, but with windows like im browsing or chatting it hangs, it doesnt even hang when im watching a video. weird.

naka try naka just 1 stick of ram while chatting or browsing or etc.? Try daw bro..basin naa jud defect nga stick ana.

try windows Vista RAM diagnostic utility sa start up repair setup. You can access the windows memory diagnostic by pressing f8 during start up. And its pretty quick to scan the memory too.
