Makeshift netbook/desktop

anyone who have this kind of usable setup?

buy a cheap netbook around 16K, e.g. asus eee 900ha XP based
buy 19" cheap LCD around <7K
buy usb keyboard&mouse.

now you have a makeshift desktop/netbook PC

actually i got this idea when a friend was seeking help buying a desktop. i just advised that, just buy a cheap LCD monitor and plug it to her eee pc. and that's it. you have a usable desktop, we actually tried it. after all, it's just for internet browsing, typing, watching movies.. just no optical drive. cd/dvds getting less popular these days..

..not for modern gamers...

i have tried it many years ago during the pIII days sa laptop then CRT pa.

mao ni ang setup nako sa akong rum karon...
with msi laptop, with 22" samsung LCD TV...
if nahan mo tan-aw tv, ill use the laptop screen...
if nahan watch movies, ill use the LCD TV...
sometimes, mag dual monitor pa... hehehe...

cool.. yeah if you have a full laptop. dual monitor is very useful

I have few friends who are doing these, not because of cheap prices, but because some of the parts in their laptops are too expensive for repairs.. especially with parts that are not locally available..

OT: Uso na man ron ang dual LCD/CRT monitors..
