i don't listen to much christian music anymore although i still dig those under the radar artists like Sufjan Stevens, Andrew Peterson, Jason Gray, Pierce Pettis, and the likes...
But recently i like what the band FLYLEAF is doing. They are a mainstream christian rock band whos first album is under a mainstream label too.
The only difference between this band and the rest of christian rock in the mainstream rock 'n roll world is that these guys don't hide their faith. They're not hypocritical either. They boldly proclaim Jesus yet they're honest in their struggles, frustrations, and problems, things that we experience daily.
I recently saw their performance on Austin City Limits and Family Values the vocalist s really not afraid to pray before they starts and even sing some worship songs and sing with hands raised.
And they cover I Love You Lord, You Are My Joy, and From The Inside Out boldly...
And in their song All Around Me, they explicitly said the song is dedicated to Jesus Christ....
