AOC 22" lcd ghosting

Good day everyone.

i am currently gaming with my 19" samsung 940bw (it has 4ms response time) and dili ko kakita ug ghosting or at least i dont notice it.

i also have a 17" samsung 740n (8ms response time) for internet usage on second pc.

just yesterday, ako gi upgrade ang 17" to a 22" AOC 2217v.
kaning aoc 2217v has 5ms response time, it is actually just a low budget 22" lcd from aoc. what i did was, i tried the 22" lcd on my gaming rig. everything was fine, except that i was seeing some really noticeable ghosting (nba 2k9 when the player was running fast, makita nako ang trails; sa paint pud if i have a white background and i move a red circle around naa jud makita trails)

Ngano ni cya naay ghosting? di ba 5ms man unta siya, unya ako samsung 940bw 4ms, gamay raman diperensya sa ms nila pero ngano noticeable kaayo ang ghosting sa aoc 2217v unya ang samsung 940bw dili ko ka notice ug ghosting?

bro, possible nga ang imong video card dili kadaug sa 22". bisan ug 5ms ra na siya ... with its size ... tingalig ga kamang imong vid card. ang 17" nimo nga 8ms ... dili kaayo tanto kay most likely kaya ra sa imo vidcard ang size sa screen. ako ra na pangagpas bro ... wait lang ta sa comment sa mga masters diri! hope this helps you...

rare naman kaayo mag ghosting ang LCD on this era. sauna raman tu nga pirmi mag ghosting kay the technology was fairly new ato nga time.

my guess tells me its not the monitor... basin setting lang (resolution/advanced settings/color scheme) or driver issue.

ako suggestions:
use a dvi cable, install the monitor's driver if applicable (naa sad mga color profiles ang uban monitors).
it's preferred nga re-install ka video drivers...basin naay settings didto that makes your monitor show ghosting effects.

@elpropesor & usrolla: makadaog sad siguro iyang videocard ug paint.... he mentioned naay ghosting effects even when running paint.

murag dili ko maka agree bro nga sa video card nako coz altho dili pinaka paspas ako videocard, it is at least a decent one.

8800gt 512mb oc man ako videocard
c2d e8400 ako proc
unya 3gig ako ram
500gig hdd

kung sa kakayahan mupadalagan ug game ako specs, maayo raman.
sa ako 940bw gamit nako 1440x900 resolution at 75mhz

pero sa 22" aoc ako try both:
1. 1440x900 at 75mhz
2. 1680x1050 at 60mhz
same result raman. unya kaning 1440x900 mao gud na gamit nako sa ako 19" without any problems so if magamit ko ug 1440x900 sa ako 22" i should not have problems ky pareha ragud nga settings, its just that ni stretch gamay ang image sa 22".

or maybe it could be my eyes are very sensitive to ghosting?

by the way, im using DVI cable.
and tig update judko ug nvidia drivers pero my last update was about 2 months ago pa.

try nako suggestion ni ceejay, nga install monitor driver and update nvidia driver to see if naay maayo results. ang ako gamit desktop resolution, is the native resolution nga 1680x1050 @ 60mhz. sa game mag adjust ko between 1680x1050 and 1440x900 depende sa frames nga makuha nako. example if low ang fps ako makuha sa 1680x1050, i switch to 1440x900 coz musaka jud ang fps ana.

ni search ko reviews ani, unya ok raman ang comments niya.

hinu-on, sa 2nd pc raman nu-on ni nako gamiton ni nga monitor for internet and movies. pero ni try lang unta ko niya ug taod sa ako gaming pc ug ok ra ba iya performance.

actually kung papili-on judko ug gaming monitor, kato jud unta samsung 2232gw ako pili-on, galing mahal lang sya.

Bro I tried before nga similar sa imo prob the time nga nag AGP pako Palit FX550 256/128 then akong gi gamit na monitor kay 17 inches ASUS walay problema etc...pero pag upgrade nako ug 19 ASUS LCD kay di ko kasabot why mag kurog kurog ang display I tried several cards w/ the same specs same problem occur sa 19inch nako and I found out its incompatibility issue, unexplainable kaayo pero tinood..Why? I tried all posibilities pero same problem ang new lcd 19inch monitor tried to other PC way problema pero if ang akong PC using the 19inch LCD problema jud. So mao na karon careful jud ko ako na testingan ug maayo kay dili lalim mag balik2x sa store ug pa testing. Mao ni upgrade kog new jud PCIEX.

For me bro @TS maybe incompatible issue maski decent one pana bro maski pinakalatest pana you cannot explain why incompatible jud kabalo baya nothing perfect in this world. Try lain VC bro then get back to us unsa ang result k.
