Default Flash Drive got soaked- but still alive.

I have heard of a couple of guys with their testimony of flash drive surviving a dip in the washing machine but I never though I would experience it myself.

And all I can say it, its ALIVE!

same experience 4 years back... my flash drive is still alive up to now...

Some electronic can survive such water dipping, as long as it doesn't have any power applied.
since USB Thumb drive will depend a +5v sa usb port, then, it will survive...

if you don't have a heat blower just like in the blog, then leave it for a day or wait for all the water to dry out.. atleast a day will do..

    OT lang:
Our Digital Camera was dipped in Kawasan Falls this year lang.. if wala to siya gi-on dayon sa akong hubog nga dad, then, it may survive the disaster.. as long as the battery was taken out..

good thing your flash drives works after those conditions. My kingston fell from my pocket unto the floor tiles, he died instantly!

Just a thought sir ba, flash drives=large capacity is kinda impractical. If maguba imong flashdrive, guba ang tibuok 16g's nimo. Okay ra ang large capacities if temporary file storage lang(like balhin balhin ug large databases). Pero if himuon nimong temp/perma file storage, its a damn disaster. Anyways, its just an idea. Currently I stick to my 1gb na flash drive which is working with me for 2 years already. Really useful when i transfer my databases on some companies i work on and obviously there's a backup just incase the flashdrive dies or gets stolen(hopefully not, because the company i work with may sue me)

And oh, just a food for thought. Never use Flash Drives for your personal/important documents. Your files are best kept in hard drives.
