Question Requirements to start a small outsourcing business?

Ask lang ko some info from those of you na medyo sweto na ani:

Say, I want to start a small business. Somewhat outsourcing ang nature. A company from abroad will need need our services. But my worker/colleague will be from abroad sad. Ang income is not definite every month kay depende lang man sa contracts or work orders if naa.

Do I need to register pa the business? Do I need to get a different TIN for this?
Unsa papers/requisites for starting a small business nga pareho ani?

Or di na need ipa-register ni?

Would appreciate your inputs guys... thanks!

We have client the same as you. They do outsourced architectural services from US, Europe, Australia, Canada, and other nation/countries.

1.) Do I have to register my business? Answer: for legal reason, YES! But actually it depend on you, if you want a legal identity sa imong business then you should register. But kung temporary lang ni imong business, and kontinto raka doing underground business, then there is no need to register.
2.) Do i need to get a different TIN? Answer: Depende! If you are planning to register this as SOLE PROPRIETORSHIP then there is no need to get a different TIN, the BIR will just issue you a 001 or 002 extention on your TIN. But kung CORPORATION, then different jud imong TIN.
3.) Another thing, since outsourcing ka & you are receiving dollars/other foreign currency, the government (BIR) may grant you a ZERO RATE on your tax, meaning wala kay tax nga bayaran.
4.) You may also opt to register sa BOI where you can also enjoy some other benefits sa ilaha, kaso lang daghan kaayo kuti, & you will be monitored by them every now & then.

Thanks for the info, bro ... have more questions:

How long does it take para ma-approve ang registration?
If I open a bank account under the name of the business, unsa requirements usually ana sa bank?
Unsa na factors ila i-check to grant ZERO RATE?
If I register the business but dili magkuha 001 or 002 extension sa ako TIN, will it put me in trouble?

    1. How long does it take you sa registration? if SOLE PROPRIETORSHIP, DTI would take you 1-3 weeks (last yr 1 week ra processing sa DTI, but early this year 3 weeks na kay naa daw sila daghan pending from last year). If CORPORATION, SEC will take you 3months (approximately). Business Permit from City Hall will depend kun asa nga municipality (mandaue city ang pinakadugay, while ang lapulapu city kay kadali ra basta kompleto ka sa requirements). BIR registration, assuming complete na imong documents & wala na problema, will take you 1 week; pero kun naa problema (like your TIN is from Manila, etc.) it will take you approximately 1 month. OBO, Zoning, Fire, & City Health are also troublesome, pero naa secret para dali ra makapasar...he he he(you know na).

    2. If you open a bank account under your business name, you can ask for the requirement directly sa bank. As far as i know, requirements are business permit, SEC / DTI registration, BIR registration, Barangay Business Clearance, Birth Certificate, Valid ID's, recent picture, Marriage Certificate (if married), & your money for deposit of course...

    3. Unsa na factors ila i-check to grant zero rate? Answer: to avail for a zero rate, you have to prove that you are either (a.) Exporter ; (b.) Foreign currency denominated sales of goods ; and (c.) Sales to entities, the exemption of which, under a special law or an international agreement with the Government of the Philippines.

    4. If you register your business but dili magkuha 001 or 002 extension sa imong TIN, will it put you in trouble? Answer: The BIR will be the one to assign that number, it is not on your own will, he he he. The reason for that extension is to give distinction sa imong mga business / branch.

Bro i would suggest you try it our 1st before registering kay hassol pag-close sa BIR / Biz Permits. Then maybe if things run smoothly, ok na ang income then pwede na... but if its like contractual lang and your clients would not need any receipt, better ayaw nalang.

one thing you need for the outsourcing is : MANPOWER

its difficult to compete w/ the big guns specially if you can't compete their offers in terms of benefits, salary, and etc.
