    Default Kia Pride engine

Hello mga bros. A little help please.

I have one particular sparkplug (2nd one from the distributor) in my B3 Kia pride engine (carburator type) that gets busted very frequently. I remedy the problem by cleaning the electrode with sandpaper and it works only for a few hours until the engine gets cold again. So I would clean the electrodes early in the morning but it becomes "palyado" again in the afternooon on my way home. I noticed that there's a constant small spark in my ignition coil that would jump from the high tension cable (center) to the negative terminal of the ignition coil. My questions are-

1.) Is my ignition coil already busted ?
2.) Is the ignition coil the one damaging the sparkplug?

Technical experts, I need your help on these. Thank you.

Check that particular wire nga nag misfire basin naay putol or luag lang.
    2. hinay ang spark due to resistance along the high voltage path
    3. walay klaro nga connection sa imong wire

Assuming walay problema imong wires, to isolate a spark plug problem, exchange that spark plug with the other spark plugs that is working. kung mo misfire gihapon ang the same plug, mao nay problema nimo, basin misaka na ang resistance niya.
Make sure pareho ang spark plug gap ana niya with other working spark plugs nimo.

Bro vern, i think ur correct nga its not the coil. Ur explanation makes a lot of sense. I actually replaced that particular plug with different ones (some even with brandnew) but it fouls out easily while all the remaining three plugs are still ok even up to today. I think its true, it must be the cable. I'll go for addressing the cable problem this time. Thanks alot bro.

By the way, do you tighten up the adjustment screw on the carburator to allow more air to the mixture or loosen up?

Adjust your idle screw for a stable idle with no misfire. clockwise=closing, counterclockwise=opening. Air and fuel mixture is already metered using the idle screw, it's the throttle screw that adds more air or raise your idle rpm but it's not only air ang makasulod using the throttle screw, apil pud na ang gasoline. You can even close the throttle screw, counter clockwise to further lower the idle rpm.

Another thing bro. If i nearly fully close the throttle screw, how come the smoke from the muffler smells different?

Ang imong PCV nga linya from your engine to your intake manifold, naay oil catch can or condensator? Mas maayo kung naa. Ang
carburetor mismo including sa may throttle, di ra man kaha na oily?

I understand your point and I totally agree with you bro. The engine has to be clean. I'm not actually adept on car engines but i like to make hands on with it because its very interesting. It is also for that particular reason that I cannot totally relate to all the different engine parts that you mentioned. Rest assured I always take time to clean the different engine parts because i simply like doing it. This time i will try to include the engine parts that you mentioned. Thanks kaayo.
