    Default Sony PS3 Pricing

    Straight from Sony's E3 conference:
PS3 hits US on November 17
    $499 for 20GB version, $599 for 60GB

Hmmm, it's cheaper than I thought. Expect a price drop from MS soon. Anyhow, better start saving people.

You would definitely want the 60Gb version. The stripped down 20GB version doesn't have Wifi support, HDMI output, Memory Stick/Compact Flash/SD inputs. You can't upgrade it either.

$599 for the 60GB? Pero the 60GB is the more complete version. The 20GB say has no HDMI? No Memory Stick?, sa 60GB na lang diba? Pero 599 is really expensive, inig abot ana dire sa Pinas kay 35k-45k dayon na.. I'll probably have to wait and pray hard for someone to buy this for me, same way somebody bought a PS2 for me

looks like the PS3 is not considered a game console na basta ingna ka mahal, home entertainment system na gyud hehehe gud luck sad kung ma hack na, ang 360 hangtud karon wala pa gani, pang mature gamer na gyud ang ps3 coz of its price and features

Yeah it's a toy for the original fans of the PS na naniguwang na like me who's been a fan of the PS for 10 yrs. na.. Ni mature na gyud ang PS and obviously belongs to the living room along with your HDTV, 5.1 speaker setup, etc.. Unfortunately so does this price. Pang executive kaau. Pero considering Blu-ray player siya and that ang standalone player na Blu-ray mas mahal pa kaysa Ps3, this may be a good deal.

But analysts say na this pricing may prove to be problematic for Sony which expects to ship 2 million units by the first month. The price for the components may reach 700 USD or more. It may not be profitable on its first months. They have to rely on games sales.

Blu-ray is uncrackable as Sony says. And so is the PS3. They are protecting its own assets since they also make games. And the fact that next-gen games are too expensive to make and one game may sell at 60 USD or more. (PC Games will remain 50 USD).

Haay this stuff makes our wallets burn.

yup the price of the ps3 is on the same range na with your hdtv, speaker/ampi setup etc...mahimo na gyud siya home entertainment center, mas mahal gyud ang standalone na blu-ray player

ingana gyud na, game sales ra gyud na magdaug, but no problems dinha considering unsa sad nga games ang mogawas

lisod na nana ma crack, coz Sony can just release firmware after firmware which only the latest game can support, just like what it is doing o the PSP

yup you have to choose gyud what platform you are supporting, dili na pwede mag multiplatform ka, kawawa na PC no upgrades na if you are going this route
