Kinsa ninyo ang nakaexperience nga nag flakings ang skin sa inyong dog? And unsay inyong gibuhat? About my pup, ang iyang skin man gud sa chest kay nagflakings, then nagka-anam na nangatanggal ang coat. Unsay inyong ika advice para maayo ni siya and unsay akong himoon para dili na ni mobalik.. how old ang doggy? ang kana bya shih tzu kay muagi na silag ugly phase. kanang mahurot ila balhibo. murag maupaw then mutubo dayon ila coat balik na mas taas, mas nindo with their ORIGINAL colors...

try pud palit apple cider vinegar (available healthy options both at ayala and sm). mga 1/4 apple cider vinegar then the rest is water. kana inig human ligo sa doggy, you can use the mixture for rinsing. no need to rinse with pure water na. very nice sa coat. shiny ila coat. then if naa mga skin probs, mawala xa. natural remedy xa actually. pwede gani sa human hair pud. i use it sometimes, and it never ceases to amaze me. makawala dandruff and makashiny sa buhok.hehehe then it keeps ur doggy from smelling jd. i only give my doggies a bath once every month. and they don't smell at all. I always use the mixture pud inig human bath. you can google apple cider vinegar for dogs. daghan kaau info on its use. i even mix it sa ila water.

try 2 cups of water then add 1/2 cup sa apple cider. mao na imo gamiton pgrinse kng magligo ka imo doggy.. then after that mejo imassage ang skin sa aimong doggy then pat dry. yaw na irinse ug pure water... mawala siguro ang mga ingon ana kay days lng... sa akong iro kay dili mn to flaky pro naa siya mga red spots.. then nawala ra siya.. di ko karemmber pila ka days gikan pgligo, bsta nawala siya wla pay week.

i use it sad sa akong buhok.. if mejo naa mga katol2x... hehehe pro gamay lng apple cider for my hair. 2 tbsp for 1 cup water.. then mao na akong irinse.

hello flipperj2b! in my opinion, best jud is to ask an expert -- the vet. They know more than us.. From what i have heard / know, a shih tzu will only shed 2x in its lifetime and it happens at 7 to 12 years old. as in grabe nga shedding ako gi mean ha..

but in your case, since naa flaking, pwede nga lacking iya natural oils which could be due to unbalanced diet, etc. etc. pwede pud nga naa sya nakaon nga allergic sya. etc. etc. etc.

so, with the big number of possibilities, best it to consult your vet jud. labaw na kung feeling nimo dili na sya normal shedding or flaking.. ooppss.. let me add, i have experienced pud flaking sa shih tzu nako.. but di jud as in grabe. then naa red spots. the vet said that i should keep the body dry jud kay it might be caused sa umog nga fur as shih tzus have double coats.. true enough, nawala ra sya after a couple of days.. so it varies a lot jud.

tnx for the advice skye07.. i appreciate it.. that's what i did coz i was so worried already.. i brought my dog to the vet and they did a laboratory (skin scraping man cguro to, i forgot the term basta sa aycardo to siya) and as what they told me naa daw fungi ang skin sa akong dog, not so sure where he got it.. they gave him some antibiotic to take for about 2 months, so far my pet is okay now.. he's so malambing and playful.. but my problem now is on my dogs food. dali raman gud sila magsawa, maglisod ko unsa ipakaon oi.. im feeding them rice and viand naman.. mostly atay sa baboy, or adobong manok or baboy.. but makalagot lang kay pilion nalang ang sud-an kaunon but ang kanin mabilin though ako man gyud e-mix ug tarung oi, usahay e-mash na gani nako but sad to say mao lang gihapon.. unsa feed nimo sa imong dog? i tried feeding them dry dog food mixed with wet but sus di gyud mangaon.. daghan na gyud klase sa doguf akong nahatag, nasayang nalang tanan kay tilawan raman gud nila..

I feed my dog with Go Natural! Grain Free dog food. It's a food for dogs with sensitive skin. pwera buyag wala man nuon sya problem sa skin but i try to feed her with dog food that's rich in protein and grain free. do you know that certain grains are not good for dogs? some dogs are even allergic to it. I think brown rice ra man tngai ang maayo nila..

Regarding pilian nga shih tzu, dont worry dear kay any in any forums you will find similar problems kay shih tzus are picky eaters jud. In my case, ako man usahay sabwan iya dog food. so minsan wet, minsan dry food sya. I put egg yolks pud usahay or chicken / pork liver. I refrain from giving them chicken skin kay usahay kung masobrahan mao pud na maka cause ug itching / allergy.

im not an expert ha.. im just sharing what i do to my tzu..

Oppsss.. on last. please remember that shih tzus gamay ra jud kaon. mas labaw na if you feed them with premium dog food. My 8mths pup makahurot ra ug 1/2 to 3/4 cup of Go Natural in a day and she within her weight japun. Royal Canin for Shih Tzu is also nice.. and Orijen
