hi mga parts i was planning of a small gathering...maayo unta madayon ni kay tanan ta mabulahan ani, some materyali(sa mga makadaog)og utokali...this post is a brain storming kind for the planned event so tampo mo sa inyong hunahuna.

this conference? meeting? para sa mga newbies sa ubuntu/linux og sa mga nerds and geeks...

i am going to start the fire:

a group has 3-8 members:

an event will be held dili summer days but during school days para makainvite ta og daghang studyante or any profesyonals or hobbyist...we extend the invitation tibook cebu og sa kalakbit nga mga isla sa visayas(luzon and mindanao matawag lang sa nato walk-in)...daghang grupo ang maglihok..

group 1 - media and invitations: ipasibya ang event am/fm stations, invitation sa mga skwelhan og trabahoan og mga balay-balay, send invitations email pod mas maayo.magdala og pamplets.
group 2 - assigned for solicitations: ako pwede mokuyog para ana, coca cola, hotels offices, bisag asa nga pwede mosponsor, etc.
group 3 - assigned for the event canvass venues(i prefer waterfront or parklane or sa cebu beach club--(this group will provide for the transpo), band for the party(showband or rnb makalingaw), food and beverages, caterings and prices, sounds and lights(pwede ako na bahala og ako ang sound engineer ninyo ana nga time hehehe)..
group 4 - technicals, kini sila ang magprepare for the hack time, slide shows sa speakers, webcast, id's with sd card? and more teknikal werks.
group 5 - asigned for the circus booth sa mga linux distro nga sila pod magpaprepare sa mga booth og mga libre cd/dvd copy sa ilang ipakita nga distro, city permits? if needed....
group 6 - stage concept and design, pamplets, streamers
group 7 - assign to prepare topics, event programs, forums(kinahanglan mga bright ni ang naka assign kay lisud na)
group 8 - security group(we need maskolado not sexy)
group 9 - front desk and ushers(must have a pleasing personality)females only..
group 10 - video guys og mga manini-ni-yots...
group 11 - mcee(male and female preferably naa know-how sa ubuntu/lnux/open source and age doesn't matter)...

schedule of events:

i suggest no participant/deligates will present or talk only the invited speakers lang kay basin bisag unsa na lang nya ang ipangyawit...or you can suggest para insert na lang nato sa sked..

7am - 10am -- registration
9am - 10am -- speaker 1 >> about gnome and kde or watever
after the talk balik sa sa gilingkoran(hold your Q's)
10pam - 11am -- speaker 2 >> networking or whatever
after the talk balik sa sa lingkoranan(hold your Q's)
11am - 12pm -- speaker 3 >> security and counter-attack? or strike?(hihihi)
after the talk palingkoron sa stage with sala set sa tunga sa stage kauban ang duha ka nilabayng speakers....(in between s lunch)
12pm - 1pm -- forum or Q and A ....(in between is lunch)
1pm - 2pm -- first phase lan hacking/cracking
2pm - 3pm -- second phase wifi hacking/cracking
3pm - 4pm -- third phase mobile hacking/cracking(bluetooth or etc)
4pm - 6pm -- lan games native linux games lang...
6pm - 8pm -- dinner table hopping pwede picture taking sa floor lang
8pm - 10pm -- induction of officers?, awarding...
10pm - 12am -- party party party...
12am - morning -- manguli na oi

prices: a 20k below notebook? laptop? 1set pc? trophy?
consolation price - cash? grocery?

kini nga list is just a rap drap pls post your suggestions and plan for this event.....for the registration fee(pls suggest) magstorya lang ta kung macreate na ang grupo nga gihisgotan...event date? everybody will suggest or vote ..event day? saturday is good kung sa beach nato e-held...

goodies:black polo shirt with ubuntu logo print(available sizes XXL,XL,L,M,s), hmmm id with sd card sa ilawom for authentication?(mura man pod defcon convention), ballpens?, caps? badges?(for what kaha we're not police or secret agents hahaha), stickers...you suggest...

I am glad to read this post....I am a Systems administrator in one of the company in CLIP-SEZ Basak,LLC. I have had been working on linux for more than 3 years particularly ubuntu servers and desktops. Most of our servers are running in ubuntu and 95% of our total desktops are running ubuntu. I really love to join this kind of gathering specially talking about linux administration. So count me in.
