ok ra ra ba mag 8 gig ram with KVR ram?

Hi guys. im currently using 4 gig ram in a 64 bit xp os sp2

im planning to max out the ram slots to 8 gig (4x2gig ddr2 800mhz).

but my concern is im using kingston value rams.... maka kaya kaha ni niya with normal cooling? do i really need to upgrade my psu.

consider if your have 16 chips per stick ( 2gb ) plus 16 chips per stick (2gb) = 32chips for 4gb of ram

now:

if you have same scenario: 16 chips per stick (4gb) plus another 16 = 32chips for a total of 8gb of ram

IMO, the number of chips greatly affects the power consumption, each stick of ram. not by its size.

dude .... im using a generic psu sa Astone Enforcer casing 500watt, amd X2 6000 89 watts in a gigabyte 780g chipset


@AMD_infinium05 - dude ang ram stick nako kay pwerteng gamaya .... if i remember murag 3 ra ka gamay nga chip ang nasa ram board .... Lig-on ba ang ingun ana ka gamay nga chip?

Kaya ra man 8 gigabytes of RAM pero i use a 500 watt Silverstone PSU. When i first installed it mu unstable siya. Pero I found out that each DDR slot was not getting the correct 1.8v needed to run each stick of DDR. So ako lang gi usab sa bios then ok na karon, no problems at all.
8 gigabyte is very nice bai, you would see that you will not have any disk paging at all or around minimal lang.
If you got the money, go for Vista Ultimate 64 bit para payts kaayo..

dude... murag kinahalna sad ko mag palit ug psu ani....para dili maguba akong ram T_T .... mahala sad anang vista ultimate oie... i think murag 8k ang last nako nga tan aw ana sa TTi.

Invest on a good PSU para di maguba imong tibuok PC. Bahala na mahal basta sigurado ka na sakto ang hatag sa kuryente (amperes).

You dont really need more cooling because if you want to add more RAM. Sometimes you might want to up the voltage a knot for 8gb to be stable (if you care bout this stuff). I have 1.8v rated Team Elite 2x (2x2gb) occupying all 4 slots. Currently running it at 2.0v. It runs beautifully on Vista Ultimate 64. Basta kaya sa imo board and you arent running high on temps I think it will be fine. Big random factor lang imo PSU.
