After countless rumor posts and many download leaks around the web, Steve Ballmer announced at CES today that Windows 7 Beta will be publicly available for download on January 9th.

Windows 7 Beta is already available for download to MSDN and Technet subscribers, and via Microsoft Connect for anybody enrolled in the Windows 7 Beta program. Everybody else should watch the Windows 7 Page for the download link to be posted on January 9th at 12PM PST / 3PM EST.

Was able to get a Product Key but having trouble getting the download started. Currently using FireFox... will try to see if it'll work on Internet Explorer.

Needs a Live ID but it's easy to get one setup... and you can use your current email address instead of having to make one on hotmail.com or live.com.

Ok... the download works on Internet Explorer (v6.0 on XP)... guess I better escalate this.

Anyone else having trouble getting downloads started on other browsers aside from IE?

Ok raman bro. Well, its faster than Vista Ultimate. but still too early to tell coz its still beta. installed
it in a P4 3.0ghz machine. walay dala na drivers ang beta, but managed to update an FX5500 driver using the ones for vista. audio drivers wont work for realtek. and mas dali i configure ang windows 7 compared to vista.

A lot could change coz its still in beta.

Magutana lang ko kong pila ang RAM limit aning Windows 7 32-bit? Parehas ra sa WINXP nga 2GB?
